Toluca vs LDU Quito Betting Tips & Predictions

Toluca have been is good form so far in the Copa Libertadores group stage, unbeaten in their first 3 games, only dropping points away from home in a 1-1 draw against San Lorenzo.

In their opening fixture they impressively dispatched Brazilian side Gremio at home 2-0 thanks to two goals from midfield maestro Enrique Triverio. They next headed to Argentina to take on San Lorenzo, a 12th minute goal from the home side was cancelled out a minute later with a Carlos Esquivel strike. The following game was when Toluca travelled to Ecuador to take on LDU Quito in the reverse fixture. They took the lead in the first half thanks to a Carlos Rodriguez strike in the 42nd minute. Both sides had their chances in the second half but it wasn’t until the 85th minute when Toluca striker Fernando Uribe found the net to give the visitors all 3 points.

Toluca currently sit top of group 6, 2 points ahead of Gremio and have a game in hand.

LDU Quito’s qualification campaign hasn’t really gone to plan. They started well with a 2-0 win over Argentinian side San Lorenzo at home, two goals from Diego Morales separating the sides. They then travelled to Brazil where they were demolished 4-0 by Gremio. Before the reverse fixture of this match where they were also unable to secure any points.

LDU Quito currently sit in 4th place of the group, they have the same amount of points as San Lorenzo but are split on goal difference. Quito also have a game in hand.
