Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

At least three goals have been scored in Torino’s last two home Serie A games and four of Atalanta’s last six away league matches. Additionally, at least three goals have been scored in the last eight head-to-head meetings between the clubs.

Atalanta 2-1

Reason for tip

Torino have lost five of their last seven games against Atalanta in Serie A, conceding an average of 3.6 goals per match. The visitors have beaten the likes of Sassuolo and Empoli on the road this season without conceding, but Torino are a step up from that and can register once in a narrow defeat.

Atalanta have ability to tame Il Toro

Atalanta have gone off the boil recently, but Gian Piero Gasperini’s side should not lose against a middling Torino side with no wins against top-half teams this season.

After securing their Europa League knockout berth with a 1-0 win over Sturm Graz, La Dea drew at Udinese and lost at home to Napoli before last Thursday’s 1-1 draw with Sporting Lisbon all but ensured they will finish top of the group.

They could be without Charles De Ketelaere for this trip to Turin, but Gianluca Scamacca is scoring again, Ademola Lookman remains a threat and Martin de Roon is available again after suspension.

Torino lack potency to put visitors away

Torino are a hard team to get behind because they have problems putting the ball in the back of the net.

Ivan Juric’s side failed to register for a fifth Serie A game in eight when they were beaten 2-0 by Bologna last weekend.

Their fans will hope that the 2-1 victory over Sassuolo, which was the first time they had scored multiple goals at the Olimpico since February, can lead to more thrilling fare.

They can score against this Atalanta team, who have conceded nine goals in seven away trips this term, but one is unlikely to be enough to deny the visitors the win.
