Torino vs Udinese Predictions
- Under 2.5 goals have been scored in seven of Torino’s last eight league games.
- Meanwhile, four of Udinese’s last five matches have contained under 2.5 goals.
- Only four teams have conceded fewer Serie A goals this season than the 22 shipped by both Torino and Udinese.
Tight affair expected in Turin
Just one place and two points separate Udinese and Torino in the Serie A table, with both sides primed to make an unlikely bid for European qualification after Juventus’ 15-point deduction. Both Il Toro and the Zebrette have been solid if unspectacular in recent weeks, which may lead punters to sit on the fence and back the defences to come out on top in Sunday’s head-to-head meeting.
Torino and Udinese have both conceded just 22 league goals this season – only Napoli, Lazio, Juventus and Roma have seen their defences breached less often. Torino are often hard to predict, not least at home where they have three wins, three draws and three losses this term. Ivan Juric’s hosts have only won once in their last eight games in 90 minutes, but seven of their last eight Serie A contests have contained under 2.5 goals, and they have only conceded multiple goals once in that run.
Udinese, meanwhile, have only beaten crisis club Sampdoria in their last 13 games – a run stretching back to October. The Zebrette have, however, seen under 2.5 goals scored in four of their last five matches, and their tally of eight draws this term is the joint-highest in Serie A. Six of the last nine meetings between these sides have contained fewer than three goals, and with neither clicking in front of goal recently, more of the same should be expected.
Il Toro and Zebrette can’t be separated
With both Torino and Udinese failing to inspire in attack but remaining relatively solid at the other end, punters are advised to back under 2.5 match goals to be scored during Sunday’s fixture.
Meanwhile, with Udinese emerging as Serie A’s draw specialists this season – seven of their last 12 league games have ended level, 1-1 could represent a decent correct score prediction.
