Tottenham Hotspur vs Crystal Palace Predictions

Tottenham are playing catch up in the race for a top-four finish in the Premier League, and they suffered a huge setback with a 2-1 home defeat to Wolves last week.

And they may not have things all their own way as they look to bounce back against Crystal Palace.

Spurs’ recent record against the Eagles is good, but their general form isn’t great, while Palace should arrive in decent sprits under new manager Oliver Glasner.

Glasner took charge for the first time last week and his new side romped to a 3-0 win over struggling Burnley.

Too much shouldn’t be read into that result as Burnley were down to ten men for over an hour, but it is debatable as to whether Palace could have achieved that kind of result under former manager Roy Hodgson.

But it does mean the south London side should experience a lift in confidence, even though it may not be enough to garner a positive result, and we predict a home win with both teams getting on the scoresheet.

History is on Spurs’ side

Tottenham have won five of their last six meetings with Crystal Palace and three of those have featured clean sheets for the Lilywhites.

However, Ange Postecoglu’s side have struggled to hold opponents at bay and there is scope to expect at least one Palace goal on Saturday.

Spurs have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 matches – against struggling Burnley – so a Tottenham win with both teams scoring looks a decent bet.

And with that in mind, a 2-1 correct score bet at 8/1 also looks good value.

That was the outcome when these two met earlier in the campaign and it is hard to see either side running away with things with plenty at stake.

Son can start to shine

Heung-Min Son has been quiet since his return from the Asian Cup, but the Spurs forward is unlikely to stay quiet for long and our prediction is for the South Korea star to get on the scoresheet this weekend.

Son scored in the 2-1 win over Palace in October and he can make his mark again this weekend.
