Tottenham Hotspur To Win To Nil

      Reason for tip

Spurs have seen off Villarreal 1-0 and Copenhagen 4-0 at home in the Champions League so far and against arguably weaker opponents again, they should seal a similar comfortable home success. Slavia are yet to win in the competition and failed to score in trips to Atalanta and Inter Milan.

      Tottenham Hotspur 3-0

      Reason for tip

Thomas Frank was in real need of Saturday’s 2-0 home success over his former club, Brentford, and Spurs can build on that encouraging display and result by recording back-to-back victories in front of their own fans while securing a clean sheet in the process.

      Richarlison To Score Anytime

      Reason for tip

Richarlison has been one of Spurs’ shining lights this season with his strike against the Bees at the weekend taking his tally to the campaign up to seven. The Brazilian forward notched in the mad 5-3 defeat against PSG on Matchday Four and he can exploit a weak-looking Slavia Prague backline that has already shipped eight goals in the competition.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Slavia Prague Predictions

      • Tottenham have won both of their home Champions League matches to nil this season
      • Slavia Prague have failed to score on either of their away assignments in the competition

Cruise control against Czechs for Spurs

Tottenham finally got a home win in the Premier League on Saturday when Thomas Frank earned victory over his former side Brentford and they can follow up when Czech opponents Slavia Prague visit in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Saturday’s success over the Bees, which came courtesy of Xavi Simons’ effort and Richarlison’s seventh strike of the season, relieved the building pressure on Frank and his side can take the positivity generated at the weekend into the European clash with Slavia.

Spurs need a victory on Tuesday as they have managed just two wins from their first five games in this competition – a run of results that has left them 16th in the standings and in serious danger of missing out on a top-eight place and automatic progression to the last 16.

This represents a great chance for the English side to move up the standings, though. In Europe at least, Frank’s side have enjoyed themselves at home, beating Copenhagen 4-0 last time to follow on from a 1-0 home success over Villarreal on Matchday One.

Slavia, in contrast, are yet to win in the Champions League, with three draws and two defeats so far, and they do not look good enough to garner anything from a trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, despite the hosts’ obvious struggles in front of their own fans this term.

Defeats to Inter Milan and Arsenal, and draws with Bodo/Glimt, Atalanta and Athletic Bilbao – the latter two being goalless affairs – is hardly form to worry Tottenham.

The visitors have won their last two league games, defeating Slovacko and Teplice by an aggregate score of 5-1 to leave them five points clear at the top of their domestic standings, but a clash with Premier League opponents is a significant step up.

Slavia’s recent scoring exploits away in Europe are non-existent. They have drawn 0-0 at Atalanta and lost 3-0 at Inter in this season’s competition on the road and they are unlikely to have much joy in front of goal on Tuesday either.
