Tottenham Hotspur vs West Ham Betting Tips

Tottenham Hotspur started their season with a four match winless streak, with Harry Kane failing to fire like he did last season and a number of other players underperforming.

Despite their underperformance, Spurs have only lost three times so far this season, with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Anderlecht beating them.

Only one of these defeats was in the Premier League, which puts them in a pretty good position to challenge for a top four spot.

With Chelsea all but out of the picture, a final top four place is well up for grabs. Nobody is fully expecting Leicester to continue their excellent season, and Spurs are lurking just three points off 4^th placed Manchester United ready to pounce.

But they could find it difficult on Sunday. Not only do they have to deal without Moussa Dembele, Clinton N’Jie, Nabil Bentaleb, Alex Pritchard, Erik Lamela, and Nacer Chadli, but they also have to come up against one of the best away teams in the Premier League.

West Ham have picked up 13 points from their six away days in the Premier League, with nine of those coming from wins against Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool. This is a feat that has never been achieved before.

But they did lose their last away game as Premier League new boys Watford beat them 2-0, which was followed by a well matched draw at home to Everton.

One major concern for West Ham is the absence of Dimitri Payet, who has been ruled out injured. He joins Enner Valencia, Diafra Sakho, Pedro Obiang, and James Collins on the sidelines.

Six of West Ham’s last eight outings have seen three or more goals scored, with four of Spurs’ last five games ending the same way. This makes odds of 7/10 for Over 2.5 Match Goals look really good value, but I’m also going for a 2-1 Spurs Win at 8/1.
