Tight contest expected for Les Gones

Only two points separate Toulouse and Lyon in the Ligue 1 standings and their clash at the Stadium de Toulouse on Friday could be a close encounter.

Lyon have enjoyed a terrific resurgence in Ligue 1 in the last couple of months and since the start of February, they have won six of their last eight matches to climb into the top half.

But there have been signs of vulnerability again recently with Lyon drawing 0-0 with Strasbourg in the French Cup quarter-finals, before winning on penalties, and then losing 3-0 at home to Lens.

They put things right with a 2-0 win over Lorient last time out but Toulouse will represent a bigger challenge.

Goals could be on the cards with Toulouse involved

The hosts have won three of their last four matches, beating Monaco, Lille and Nice as part of that run and they can make life tough for Lyon.

But they slipped to a defeat to Le Havre last time out and rather than back either side, punters should go for the draw.

There should also be goals with both teams finding the net in six of Toulouse’s last eight assignments and 2-2 looks like a decent correct score bet.
