Lyon to extend winning streak in Toulouse

Lyon are in form and should be backed to continue their good run away at Toulouse on Sunday. Lyon have only lost one of their last ten Ligue 1 games at Stadium de Toulouse, and with the hosts struggling at home, Paulo Fonseca’s side look a solid bet.

Lyon are third in Ligue 1, seven places and 19 points above tenth-placed Toulouse. Lyon have won 18 of their 32 games this season, while Toulouse have 11 wins.

Lyon maintained their winning habit with a 4-2 victory over Rennes, in which they scored first and went on to win the game. They have now won 17 of the 21 games in which they’ve scored first this season (81%).

The visitors have hit their stride. Lyon have lost just one of their last eight Ligue 1 games and come into this match on the back of four consecutive wins.

The Lyon attack has been enjoying a prolific spell in front of goal. They have found the net in their last four league games, scoring at least twice in four of those.

They can edge this, with a 1-0 correct score in favour of the visitors looking like a decent bet. Toulouse have been poor at home, where they have won five, drawn six and lost five, while Lyon have won six, drawn five and lost five on the road. Lyon have won two of their last three Ligue 1 games by the odd goal and nine of Toulouse’s 13 reverses this season have been by a single goal.
