Lorient can leave town with another draw

Two out-of-form teams meet on Wednesday when a Troyes side with no win in four face a Lorient team on a four-game losing streak.

Laurent Battles’ hosts, who come into this a couple of points behind the visitors, haven’t been too hot at home this term with only seven goals scored in their seven outings. But they have been much tighter than when on the road, so we aren’t expecting this game to burst into life in the early stages.

Troyes have conceded first in their last five games, which must give Lorient some encouragement. Recent history certainly won’t as Les Merlus haven’t beaten ESTAC in their last five meetings, four of which were won by Wednesday’s hosts.

Lorient’s knack for getting a draw on the road may win through here as Troyes are in no great form themselves on the back of three straight defeats.

Both sides no strangers to 1-1 scorelines
