Troyes vs Reims Betting Tips & Predictions

Troyes managed to go until the end of January without a league victory this season, and once they finally did get a win their unrealistic dreams of a great escape from the Ligue 1 relegation zone were shortlived.

They got straight back into a run of defeats after ending their winless run, and with 33 games played they have still only managed two victories all season. They are coming into this match on the back of seven straight defeats in Ligue 1 as well.

During this run they have only scored four goals, conceding a huge 19 goals at the other end. This includes a 9-0 hammering at home to Paris Saint Germain, a result which shed some more light on another problem Troyes have: Their home form.

They are still without a win on home turf all season, with their season ticket holders having to sit through 11 defeats and six draws at home in all competitions. They have already been relegated from the top flight, but they will be hoping to improve upon their 14 point total before the end of the season.

Reims are in a bit of trouble themselves. Their poor form this season has put them in 17th position in Ligue 1, with just two points between them and the relegation zone. A win on Saturday could see them move up to 15th though.

They managed to get a 2-1 win against Nantes last weekend, but that was only their second win in six matches in Ligue 1, with three defeats and one drawn making up the rest of the results.

Reims have managed to get a few away wins this season though, and they recently secured a draw against Monaco away from home too. Add the fact that Troyes have lost six home games on the bounce and I think Reims have a great chance of boosting their chances of survival on Saturday. Odds of 7/10 for a Reims win look good to me, and I’m going for a 2-0 correct score prediction at 17/2 as well.
