Top two meet in Group D

Turkey lead the way in Euro 2024 qualifying Group D with nine points from four games and they face closest rivals Armenia on Friday.

The visitors have six points from their two games, and with big guns Croatia in third spot with four points from two outings both of these teams will view Friday’s match-up as a key fixture.

Both teams to score looks a good starting point for this game as goals at both ends has been a feature of Armenia’s fixtures. There have been goals at both ends in each of their last four games and they have conceded themselves in each of their last 10 trips.

Home advantage could make the difference here, however, as the Turks have five wins in their last seven at home and have just two defeats in their last 11 on Turkish soil – and those losses came at the hands of Italy and Croatia.

Armenia have suffered some big away losses in recent years, including a 9-0 defeat in Norway and a 6-0 loss in Germany over the last two years.
