Twente vs RKC Predictions

Twente have picked up four points from their opening two matches against PSV and Groningen so head into Sunday’s game almost expecting to win. The visitors have lost their first two games back in the top flight but will view Sunday’s match as a great opportunity to open their account for the season against a side they know well from the Eerste Divisie.

However, all of the stats and the recent history between these two clubs point towards a win for Twente on Sunday, with a good chance we will see both teams score. Twente have won two of the pair’s last three encounters and three of the clubs’ last four meetings have seen both teams score. Both of those Twente wins arrived at home where RKC have failed to win in their last four attempts.

The form of both sides certainly has an effect on our prediction for Sunday’s match as Twente are unbeaten in their last six matches and RKS have lost three of their last three games on the run. However, RKC have scored in all of their last seven away games so are likely to create chances against Twente this weekend.

After drawing with Dutch giants PSV and then beating Groningen away, Twente’s start to the season is bound to have raised confidence levels within the club and after winning the Eerste Divisie title last season, this weekends’ hosts should have nothing to fear from RKC who were beaten in each of their opening two matches by VVV and AZ.
