Udinese vs AC Milan Predictions
They shocked defending Serie A champions Juventus in the first game of the season. It’s looking less impressive with Juve struggling out of the gate and winning just one of their first four games. Udinese have looked mediocre to say the least and there are reasons for this club to be concerned. They look set to be involved in a relegation battle this season.
Since that opening weekend win, they’ve lost at home to Palermo and Empoli, and been dominated at home by Lazio. The biggest early worry is the lack of goals in this squad, just where are they going to come from?
We backed Palermo to grab something at the San Siro against AC Milan at the weekend. We weren’t very impressed by AC’s start to the season, but they showed some competitive spirit in that game taking the lead on three separate occasions through goals by Bonaventura, who is settling in a central midfield role, and two frm Bacca.
It’s still not easy to see this team battling back into European places, but there are reasons for the club to believe that parity in Serie A this season might give them a chance.
Three Reasons for Betting Tips
1. AC Milan scrap
AC Milan showed some determination and scrap, which the club had been missing in recent seasons. We won’t back this to be pretty, but we think they’ll find a way to force their way past this game and pick up another three points as the new squad continues to develop.
2. Midfield improvements in Milan
The improved play of Milan’s midfield over the last couple of games should allow them to control these types of games a little more. They’ll control possession and should be able to set a few things up against Udinese.
3. Udinese have disappointed
We don’t see them scoring, which means that an AC Milan victory only requires that they find some way to get the ball into the back of the net. We believe they’ll manage it one way or another.
