Valencia vs Real Sociedad Betting Tips & Predictions

It has been a season to forget for Valencia fans and one that has featured 3 different managers. Current boss Pako Ayestarán has been marginally the most successful but even he comes into this game on the back of successive defeats at home to Villarreal and away to Real Madrid, although they did perform well at the Bernabeu last weekend only going down 3-2 and playing some good football at times to once again demonstrate they do possess quality and should be heading for something better than a miserable mid-table finish.

The same could probably be said of Real Sociedad who are only 1 point but 2 places better off than Valencia. They were 2-1 winners over Rayo Vallecano last weekend to end a run where they picked up just 1 point from 4 matches. They do at least have the excuse of having suffered terrible luck with injuries this term and that is very much the case again here with almost half their first team squad missing through either injury or suspension.

Strange scorelines are not uncommon at this time of year in Spain as we saw last weekend so taking on a longer punt can be a really good shout. Valencia certainly owe their fans a performance after their dismal campaign and did turn on the style when they beat Eibar 4-0 at home a few weeks ago when Paco Alcacer bagged a hat-trick. They are missing a few players too but are likely to be the more motivated side as the Mestalla faithful won’t allow them to just coast through this game so a home win and a good send-off looks the more likely but given Valencia have kept just 1 clean sheet in their last 27 league games, backing Valencia to Win & Both Teams to Score at 12/5 looks to offer great value here.
