Can Valladolid bounce back?

After picking up their first win of the La Liga season against Almeria, Real Valladolid suffered a disappointing defeat to Girona last time out, meaning they have picked up just four points from five outings.

Jose Rojo Martin’s side did pick up their sole victory on home soil though, while they have won three of their last four matches at Estadio Jose Zorrilla.

They also have a strong record against Cadiz, losing just one of their most recent seven meetings, while going unbeaten in four home fixtures between the two sides.

Cadiz in deep trouble

Given they have lost five games without scoring, it is no surprise that Cadiz sit bottom of La Liga, with their misery compounded by a 4-0 thrashing to Barcelona at the weekend.

The pressure is certainly on manager Sergio, whose side have now won only three of their last 15 away league games, suffering eight defeats in the process.

They also failed to score in eight of those games, so the problems in the final third are certainly not confined to this season.

I predict that Real Valladolid will win this game, but I doubt there will be too many goals, with 1-0 to the hosts my correct score prediction.
