Dragon can do some damage to under-fire Vitoria

Vitoria and Atletico GO have both made slow starts in this year’s Brasiliero, but the away side could be better placed to get the victory in Saturday’s clash in Salvador.

Vitoria fans furious with the start their side have made this season aired their grievances to the squad at the training ground this week and the message was pretty clear – get rid of the players who cannot cut it at this level.

This Saturday’s game will be Thiago Carpini’s second in charge of the Red and Blacks and his first in Serie A. He oversaw a 2-1 home defeat to high-flying Botafogo last week which ended Vitoria’s involvement in the Brazilian cup.

Visitors are in a more positive mood

The performance was again not great and, with the fans already on their backs, the pressure might become too much of a burden for them against an Atletico side that have achieved some positive results recently.

The Dragon defeated Brusque home and away in the cup and earned a 1-1 draw at Internacional early in May to get their first league point on the board.

This is a match they can win if Vitoria crumbles, but the odds of them just avoiding defeat again are attractive enough to make the main recommendation with another 1-1 possibly on the cards.
