Walsall vs Colchester Predictions

Walsall can be backed to continue their good form at home to Colchester on Saturday. Mat Sadler’s side have won five of their last seven games at the Bescot Stadium.

They are top of the league having won nine of their 15 games so far, while Colchester are 16th with four wins, six draws and five defeats.

The visitors have struggled defensively of late, with Colchester failing to keep a clean sheet in 15 of their last 18 League Two games.

Walsall have been prolific in attack, scoring an average of two goals a game in their eight League Two matches against bottom-half teams this season. They have been even more potent at home, averaging 2.33 goals in their three games.

A narrow 1-0 win for Walsall looks the most likely outcome in the correct-score market. The last League Two meeting between these sides ended with three goals, but four of the previous five meetings had under 2.5 goals and six of Walsall’s nine wins this season have been by a single goal.
