Watford vs Everton Betting Tips & Predictions

Watford seem to have taken their foot off the pedal after an excellent first half of the season. They are almost guaranteed top flight football for next season, but their ten point cushion over the bottom three seems to have seen them go on holiday mentally.

They still have an FA Cup semi final to look forward to against the out of form Crystal Palace, but they will be hoping to pick up some Premier League victories before then in order to boost their confidence a bit.

Watford’s 4-0 defeat to Arsenal last weekend made it four defeats, one draw, and one win in their last six outings in all competitions, but despite that dismal showing on Saturday they have shown a few signs of improvement recently. They scored in their 2-1 defeat to Stoke before the international break and beat Arsenal in the FA Cup the weekend before, so their talent is definitely still there.

Everton have gone off the boil as well, and they also have an FA Cup semi final approaching that they will want to get in shape for. They come into this match having lost three of their last four, which keeps them in the bottom half of the table with a disappointing return of 38 points from their 30 games so far.

Admittedly they have had some difficult fixtures of late, with defeats against West Ham, Manchester United, and Arsenal not being too far fetched. I think they can take this opportunity to get back to the free scoring ways that we admired in the first half of the season.

This obviously goes hand in hand with their trademark leaky defence, so I fancy Watford to get a goal as well. Odds of 10/11 for Both Teams to Score looks good to me, and I’m also backing a 2-1 Everton win at 9/1 due to the fact that Everton have won four of their last five away days.
