West Brom vs Arsenal Betting Tips

After a difficult start to the season including matches against Manchester City and Chelsea, West Brom looked to be on the up.

They were keeping clean sheets often and scoring the odd goal to pick up three points against Stoke and Aston Villa, along with draws against Southampton and Watford.

But the floodgates open when they do concede. They have conceded 19 goals in the seven match in which they’ve let one in.

This doesn’t combine well with a low scoring style of play, which means that when they fall behind they are almost destined to lose.

This has happened five times in the last seven matches, and they are yet to pick up a point in a game in which they concede. I can’t see them keeping Arsenal out for 90 minutes either.

Chris Brunt and Ben Foster miss out on this match through injury, with Gareth McAuley serving a suspension.

Arsenal have a typically long injury list, with Hector Bellerin, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Tomas Rosicky, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, and Danny Welbeck all suffering from injuries.

But Arsenal always have injury concerns, yet they always find ways to pick up points. Their 1-1 draw against North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur before the international break ended their five match winning streak in the Premier League, but they are definitely in a spell of good form.

Other competitions aren’t going so well. They were humiliated in the League Cup when Sheffield Wednesday beat them 3-0, and Bayern Munich got their own back after losing at the Emirates by thrashing them 5-1 in Germany.

But their league form is something to be admired, and they will be spurred on by the fact that they can take the top spot with a win on Saturday, putting the pressure on Manchester City when they face Liverpool later in the day.

I simply can’t see West Brom keeping Arsenal out, and if they concede one they are almost certain to concede more. I’m expecting a comfortable margin of victory for the visitors, and odds of 1.825 for an Arsenal -1 Asian Handicap Win look really good value.
