West Ham vs Chelsea Betting Tips

West Ham started last season very well, but eventually dropped off the boil to end in a respectable, but ultimately disappointing 12^th position in the Premier League.

They have started this season very well as well. They have already achieved what no other team in history have done by beating Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City away from home in a single season.

Two more wins have come against Newcastle and the in form Crystal Palace to leave them occupying 4^th place in the Premier League after nine games.

But their inconsistent nature will be a slight worry for the Upton Park faithful. They have suffered defeats against Leicester and Bournemouth as well as a draw against bottom of the table Sunderland. A stark contrast to their incredible results against the league’s top clubs.

Whilst the West Ham fans have that very minor concern, the Chelsea fans are facing much bigger problems.

They have seen their title winning side start the season disastrously, winning just five of their 14 competitive games this season.

It all started with a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Community Shield, and since then they have lost to Manchester City, Crystal Palace, Everton, Porto, and Southampton. Draws against Swansea, Newcastle, and Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday make up the rest of their results.

This terrible start to the season leaves them down in 12^th position in the table, and their ropey looking defence is bound to have trouble dealing with Dimitri Payet’s creativity.

West Ham may have a slightly dodgy looking home record this season, but nobody can deny that they truly turn on the style when they come up against the big guns. And Chelsea are undoubtedly still classed as big guns.

I think they can get another great result on Saturday, especially considering that Chelsea have only managed to win two of their seven away days in all competitions this season. Odds of 17/20 for a West Ham Win or Draw look good value to me as well.
