Woeful Willem’s dire form to continue

Willem II have been simply dreadful of late, they are currently on their longest run of Eredivisie defeats (five) since a seven game run ending in 2017. Moreover, their aptly-named manager Fred Grim lost three of his four personal clashes with Cambuur.

It is one thing to lose games, but Willem have done so in an embarrassing manner, conceding 19 goals across their six-game losing run across domestic competitions. Topically, that makes for a shameful 3.2 conceded goals per match!

Cambuur could outperform their odds

As for the visitors, Cambuur’s amazing five-game winning run came crashing down in spectacular fashion as they lost 6-1 to Vitesse last time out. However, they will hope that was just a blip as they fight to maintain their place in the top-seven.

This should go one way or the other given that Cambuur are the only Eredivisie side yet to draw a game this season (W8, L7), but that return has made for some entertaining games as their matches averaged a league-high 4.1 total goals per game.

All in all, I predict Cambuur will come out on top with a 3-1 victory in an entertaining encounter when considering both their imperious away form combined with the woeful run of this relegation-threatened Willem II side.
