Wolverhampton vs Sheffield United Predictions

  • Sheffield United are unbeaten in their last five games (W4, D1).
  • The Blades have just one defeat in their last six away from home.
  • Wolves have failed to score in their last three home games and have managed just five goals in nine Premier League fixtures at Molineux.
  • Sheffield United have won two of their last three away games 1-0.

Cupset on the cards at Molineux?

Championship outfit Sheffield United have hit a bit of form in recent weeks and look good candidates to pull off an upset in the third round of the FA Cup as they head to Wolves on Sunday.

Wolves are unbeaten in their last three games and go into this clash after taking four points from games against Chelsea (D) and Manchester United (W), but goals have been an issue for Bruno Lage’s men and that gives the visitors a chance.

Double chance on the Blades stands out

Wolves have failed to score in each of their last three home games and have managed just five in total in nine Premier League games at Molineux this season. The Midlands outfit have also won just three of those nine matches, and with the Blades coming into this one in fine form there is a chance we could see a Premier League side fall at the first hurdle – particularly if they opt to make changes to their starting line-up.

The visitors have won their last four games and are unbeaten in their last five. The South Yorkshire side have been particularly strong on their travels with four wins and just one defeat in their last six away, and that loss came at promotion hopefuls Blackburn.

A draw of away win in the double chance market looks a good option for the main bet and I’m going to be bolder in the correct score market and go for a 1-0 win for Sheffield United, as Wolves have failed to score in their last three home assignments and the Blades have won two of their last three away matches by that scoreline.
