Another early stumble for Rohl

After winning the title every year between 2014 and 2023, RB Salzburg have endured a tough few years by comparison. They finished third in the Bundesliga last season, and they’ve tasked former Rangers and Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl with turning things around.

However, Rohl won only one of his first seven games at Wednesday, while he lost three of his first five with Rangers, winning only four of his first 10 matches in Glasgow.

Last term, Salzburg won only six of their 16 home matches, finishing their campaign with a 3-1 home defeat against Hartberg.

The visitors had an impressive record on the road, suffering only three defeats in 16 matches. With Markus Schopp returning for his third spell in charge of the club, they should be able to hit the ground running in this new campaign.

With Salzburg likely to take some time to adjust to Rohl’s approach, Hartberg are great value to cause an upset.
