Wolverhampton vs Norwich Predictions

  • Norwich have lost their last five games, failing to score in each of the last four.
  • Norwich have lost to nil in 56% of their away games this season.
  • Wolves have the fourth-best defensive record in the Premier League this season.

Wolves’ European hunt on verge of collapse

Wolverhampton’s 5-1 defeat to Premier League leaders Manchester City was the latest in a string of disappointing results for Bruno Lage but Sunday marks the perfect opportunity to get back on track.

The hosts are five points adrift of West Ham in seventh and need something of a miracle to leapfrog them, but they are well placed to do their job as they face Norwich on Sunday.

Norwich slump to yet another defeat

The Canaries are still rock-bottom of the Premier League with just 21 points from 36 games and they showed their lack of fight again in midweek as they were comprehensively beaten by Leicester.

That 3-0 defeat made it five losses on the bounce and they have failed to score in each of their last four, shipping 15 goals across the course of this losing streak.

Comfortable home win expected

For Norwich fans, this is nothing new. They have lost to nil in 56% of their away games this season and scored just ten times on the road all season and I don’t expect them to add to that tally on Sunday.

Wolves, despite a 5-1 defeat in midweek, still have the best defensive record outside the top three this season so I’m backing them to win to nil, along with a 2-0 correct score prediction thanks to the visitors’ torrid defensive record.

Wolves predicted lineup: Sa; Dendoncker, Coady, Boly; Chiquinho, Neves, Moutinho, Ait-Nouri; Neto, Trincao; Hee-Chan

Norwich predicted lineup: Gunn; Byram, Hanley, Gibson, Giannoullis; Rupp, Gilmour; Springett, Lees-Melou, Rashica; Pukki

  • Nine of Norwich’s last 11 away games in the Premier League have seen them beaten
  • Norwich are on a run of four Premier League defeats without scoring
