      Wolves vs QPR Predictions

This is the second time in four days that Wolves have played a side who were in the Premier League last season. They equipped themselves fairly well against Hull at Molineux on Sunday with the sides drawing 1-1 which sent the Black Country side to 4 points after a win at Ewood Park on the opening day.

Star striker Benik Afobe has been linked with a move away from the club though and they will be keen for September to arrive with him still at the club. He only joined from Arsenal in January but netted 12 times in 19 games last season and has already bagged 2 goals this. If Wanderers can hold onto Afobe they could be a real threat this season and his pace could cause big problems here for the ageing Clint Hill at the heart of the QPR defence on Wednesday.

Rangers have had a more unsettled summer than the other relegated clubs from the top flight. It may take a few weeks before they really find their stride and settle on a best side while the future of Charlie Austin remains highly uncertain.

They were beaten 2-0 at Charlton on the opening day while a last minute wonder strike from Scott Malone earned Cardiff a 2-2 draw at Loftus Road on Saturday. It was no less than the Welsh side deserved and Chris Ramsey won’t have had long to improve on things ahead of the trip to Wolverhampton.

He is very much going to have to oversee a rebuilding process over the next few months after the departure of one or two high profile, highly paid players. There could well be one or two painful results along the way and this might very well be one of them.

In complete contrast to QPR, Wolves are a well organised, settled side under Kenny Jackett and have some excellent attacking options in this league especially. They have won four of their last five matches including games at the end of last season and they are likely to make that five in six at 11/10.

They are yet to keep a clean sheet this season though and with Charlie Austin to deal with, you could still see them conceding here so anyone looking for a correct score bet might want to opt for a 2-1 home win at 8/1.
