Wycombe Wanderers vs Peterborough Predictions

Wycombe have won five of their last seven League One home games and they should be backed to beat Peterborough on Saturday.

This is a mid-table clash, with Wycombe ninth and Peterborough 12th in League One. The hosts have won nine, drawn nine and lost eight of their 26 games this season, while the visitors have 11 wins, two draws and 13 defeats.

Wycombe maintained their winning habit with a 2-1 victory away to Northampton last weekend, justifying their position as 6/5 favourites.

Wycombe’s recent results are encouraging. They have only lost one of their last seven League One matches and are going for a third successive win. They have also lost just one of their last ten home games in the league.

Wycombe have been in goalscoring form, finding the net in each of their last four league games and scoring at least twice in two of those. They have averaged two goals a game in their seven League One home games against other top-half teams this season.

The Peterborough defence has been unconvincing of late, with the visitors failing to keep their opponents at bay in three straight League One games. They have conceded 20 goals away from home this season, an average of 1.67 per game from 12 matches.

A 2-0 victory for Wycombe looks a decent correct-score option. Three of the last four of their League One games have gone under 2.5 goals and three of their nine successes this season have been by two goals.
