      Arsenal vs Huddersfield Predictions

Arsenal managed to extend their unbeaten run again in midweek as they picked up a point in a 2-2 draw away to old enemies Manchester United, and while they certainly could have won that game it did raise a few concerns.

The first notable concern was the flurry of injury problems they suffered, with Rob Holding coming off the worse and set for a long spell on the sidelines. Secondly, while their attacking play is excellent at times, their organisation and ability at the other end of the pitch leaves a lot to be desired.

The Gunners may be unbeaten in 13 Premier League matches, but it’s largely thanks to the talents of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. They have kept a meagre 2 clean sheets in the league this season, and their last shutout was all the way back in September. This defensive frailty is almost certain to come back and haunt them at some point, but it’s unlikely to make much of a difference on Saturday.

Huddersfield, despite their brief resurgence last month, are in real trouble this season. They have won just 2 of their 15 Premier League games so far and have lost 9 times. Their 2-1 loss against Bournemouth in midweek made it 26 goals conceded this term, and it leaves them only a point above the relegation zone.

The Terriers’ record against the Premier League Big Six isn’t confidence boosting for them either. Since their return to the top flight last season they have picked up 2 points from their 7 away days against the bigger clubs in the division, and they have lost all 4 of their home and away meetings with the Big Six this season.

Arsenal may be defensively poor, but they should have more than enough about them to get a win on Saturday. However, Huddersfield have now scored in 5 consecutive league matches and have only actually failed to score in 6 league games this season. Away from home their record, inexplicably, actually improves, with them failing to score in just 1 of their 7 trips away.

Considering Arsenal have conceded in 13 of their 15 league games this season, we think backing Arsenal to Win and Both Teams to Score is a good choice here along with a 3-1 correct score predictions.
