Late flourish for Lazio

This had been shaping up as a season to forget for Lazio, with last summer’s transfer ban leading to a campaign where they just floated in mid-table. However, Maurizio Sarri’s side have found their rhythm late in the campaign.

Lazio have won four of their last six Serie A games, including last weekend’s 2-0 win at champions Napoli. They followed that up with a penalty-shootout win over Atalanta in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday, giving them a chance of landing silverware, along with a route back into Europe.

Udinese have picked up some eye-catching away wins of late, but their 1-0 home loss to Parma last weekend is a concern. They were outplayed in that loss, and the Zebrette head on the road, having lost five of their eight encounters with sides above them.

Hosts Lazio have struggled in front of goal at home to the league’s top sides, failing to score in meetings with Napoli, Roma, Como, and Atalanta. However, they’ve scored 19 times in nine home clashes with sides below them.

Given the hosts’ improved form, they look good to secure another three points against Udinese. However, that scoring record means the hosts hold more appeal in the team goals market, as they’re well-priced to score two more, having done so in seven of nine clashes with teams below them.
