Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Leicester have gone 18 league games without a clean sheet, failing to record a shut out in their last 10 at the King Power. The hosts do have plenty of attacking threat against an Everton side who have conceded in 14 of their 16 away trips this term, so back both defences to concede.

Leicester City 2-1

Reason for tip

Everton have lost three of their last four games and they’ve been beaten in 21 of their last 33 league trips. The visitors have one of the top-flight’s worst away records and another loss looms in this visit to Leicester.

Harvey Barnes To Score Anytime

Barnes has scored 10 goals for Leicester this season, finding the net five times in 10 appearances at the King Power. He struck in the win at Goodison Park earlier this season and found the net in home wins over Leeds and Nottingham Forest.

Leicester City vs Everton Predictions

  • Leicester have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last 18 league games
  • Everton have conceded in all but two of their home matches this term
  • The Foxes have kept three home clean sheets so far this term
  • Everton have lost 21 of their last 33 away league games

Tension builds for King Power clash

While 13 of the first 18 Premier League meetings between Everton and Leicester ended level, just two of the subsequent 15 between the sides have been drawn. That sets us up for a winner-take-all clash at the foot of the Premier League table, as these two sides look to jump out of the relegation zone.

The pair are 18th and 19th respectively in the Premier League but a win would lift either above Nottingham Forest and into safety, pushing their opponent closer towards the Championship. It’s a true relegation six-pointer, with only four games remaining for both teams after Monday’s encounter.

Neither defence can be trusted

Don’t expect the tension to lead to a restained affair, neither of these two sides can trust themselves defensively enough to play negatively here. Both teams have been awful at the back this season, with Everton in particular trouble away from home.

Leicester have conceded in each of their last 18 Premier League games, their joint-longest run without a clean sheet in the competition. Only three teams have conceded more goals than them this term, with the Foxes shipping 1.3 goals per home match this season. They’ve managed only three home clean sheets in the top-flight and Dean Smith’s arrival has done little to turn around their fortunes.

Meanwhile, Everton have managed two clean sheets on their travels this term, conceding 26 goals in 16 matches on the road. Sean Dyche hasn’t had the desired impact on their defence. While the Toffees have managed to look solid at home, midweek saw them thumped 4-1 by Newcastle at Goodison.

Leicester have attacking edge

While the hosts have issues defensively, they have enough attacking talent to make the difference here. Harvey Barnes alone has scored twice as many goals as any Everton player, with the winger popping up with key strikes so far this term. He found the net in home wins over Nottingham Forest and Leeds earlier this term, scoring five in 13 home games. He also found the net at Goodison earlier this term and he’s best option for an anytime goalscorer pick.

While Leicester have attacking talent, their defensive issues can’t be overlooked. The Foxes’ long wait for a clean sheet should continue and the visitors should struggle at the back too. Look to both teams to score in this huge clash on Monday.

Everton have won just two of their last 33 away league games (D10 L21), which points to Leicester taking the points. The hosts beat Wolves in their last home game and they’ve claimed vital victories over Leeds and Forest at the King Power, while the Toffees are winless at every side above them in the table. Back the hosts to secure a 2-1 win.
