Roma Double Chance (Win or Draw)

Reason for tip

Roma are on a 14-game unbeaten run stretching back to last season and they haven’t lost at home in normal time since January. Real Madrid have failed to win six of their last 10 competitive trips and may fall short in Italy so backing the hosts in the double chance market is the best option.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Three of the Roma’s last four games have finished level and both sides may settle for a point apiece. Real are yet to keep a clean sheet on their travels this season and both teams have scored in four of their last five overall so a 1-1 draw has a chance

Roma vs Real Madrid Predictions

  • Roma are unbeaten across all competitions this season
  • Real have failed to win six of their last 10 competitive away games
  • Both teams have scored in three of Real’s four away games this season

Mourinho could face frustrating Roma reunion

Real opened their Champions League bid with a 2-1 win over Inter Milan in Madrid but they may struggle to back that up with another three points when they head to Italy to take on Roma as boss Jose Mourinho faces another of his former clubs.

The Giallorossi are yet to be beaten this season across all competitions and they are on a 14-game streak without defeat stretching back into the previous campaign. Roma’s last home game inside normal time came back in January and backing the hosts to win or draw in the double chance market looks the best bet here.

Real have a mixed away record this season with two wins and two defeats after four games and their struggles on the road extend back to the previous campaign, as they have won just four of their last six trips.

Roma will probably try and stifle Real rather than go for the win and that could result in a fairly low-scoring affair. Three of the hosts’ last four games have finished level and both sides may settle for a point apiece, so a 1-1 draw is the correct score pick. Real are yet to keep a clean sheet on their travels this season and both teams have scored in four of their last five overall.
