West Bromwich Albion Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Leeds have failed to win four of their last six Championship away games, losing three, while West Brom have won five of their last eight home league games. The Baggies are a good Draw no Bet prospect because they have lost only once in that spell and have one of the meanest defences in the division.

West Bromwich Albion 2-1

Reason for tip

West Brom have only scored more than once in one of their last 10 home league games while Leeds have conceded more than two goals only once on their travels in the same period. The Whites went down to a 2-1 defeat at Preston last time out as some defensive flaws were exposed and a similar outcome could be on the cards if they are not addressed.

John Swift To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

John Swift has scored six goals in 17 league appearances for Albion this term (12 starts) and came close to adding to that tally on three occasions against Norwich on Boxing Day.

West Brom are well-used to shutting opponents out

West Bromwich Albion can close the gap to fourth-placed Leeds to just three points if they reproduce their Boxing Day result against Norwich on Friday night.

The Baggies deserved their 1-0 home win over the Canaries, although the game could have panned out very differently had the visitors not lost Borja Sainz to a second yellow card in the 33rd minute.

Carlos Corberan’s team are not a free-scoring bunch, but they are well used to shutting opponents out and they were able to secure their 11th Championship clean sheet of the campaign.

Whites will be without their first-choice keeper

Leeds returned to earth with a bump when a 2-1 defeat to struggling Preston followed their fantastic 4-0 pre-Christmas thrashing of Ipswich. Those contrasting results underline their inconsistency and things could be about to get tougher for them due to number one keeper Islan Meslier’s impending three-match ban for a silly slap at Preston.

The Frenchman will certainly be out of this game with back-up Karl Darlow set to make his first league appearance for the club. At Deepdale, Leeds boss Daniel Farke probably paid the price for sticking with the same starting XI for the third game in a row, but is sure to freshen up his line-up for this clash.

Leeds’ unconvincing away form suggest they are too short in the betting for this clash with West Brom just as likely tp pick up the win. Therefore, backing the hosts in the Draw no Bet market could turn out to be a sensible move with John Swift a decent goalscorer punt after he went close to scoring on three separate occasions against Norwich.
