Football Betting Tips
MLS Super Mega Accumulator Tip
Charlotte’s attacking momentum and strong home form give them the edge against a New York City side that has lacked cutting edge on the road. The hosts have scored at least twice in five of their last seven games and should have enough firepower to see off an NYC team that has netted less than one goal per game away from home.
Cincy are on a four-game winning streak overall and they have lost just one of their eight MLS games at this venue, winning five. The Crew are winless in five on the road and may fall short against the Eastern Conference leaders.
Union have six wins and just one defeat after 10 home MLS games. The Red Bulls are among the worst travellers in the competition with just seven points to show from 11 games so a home win looks a strong play here. Union have scored multiple goals in each of their last five home games across all competitions and have hit at least three goals in three of their last four at Subaru Park, with their attack in form they can cover a -1 handicap.
Toronto look the better side at home and should be backed against an Atlanta team that has failed to win any of their ten MLS road games this season. Atlanta’s poor away form—six defeats in their last eight—makes the hosts the more reliable option.
Minnesota have won four of their last six home games in all competitions and have only lost twice at this ground in MLS. However, the Quakes have scored in nine of their 10 road games in this competition and can grab a consolation effort.
There have been goals at both ends in each of SKC’s last seven games and in three of Seattle’s last five, including their three outings at the Club World Cup. Both defences look vulnerable so goals at both ends looks likely. Seattle sit above SKC in the standings but their road form has been poor. Sporting have seven points from their last three games and have just one defeat in their last five at home. The hosts may be able to pull off a bit of an upset here and claim the spoils in a game where both teams score.
Vancouver won 2-0 when these sides met in a reverse fixture back in April and on the balance of play they could have won by a far bigger margin. If they can produce a similar level of performance here they should be able to claim maximum points at Colorado Rapids.
Both sides have scored in the last six MLS games between Real Salt Lake and Houston, and that run looks set to continue again when they meet at Rio Tinto Stadium. Real have won their last two home games and are on a three-game unbeaten run overall, they may be able to edge out a Houston side who have three defeats in their last five.
Mega Accumulator Tip
Falkirk should be champing at the bit with a Premiership season just around the corner and they can run out winners in a game that should generate plenty of goals.
While East Fife will be full of momentum after securing promotion to League One, but so will Premiership new boys Livingston. Livi ended last season with four wins to nil in seven matches and can shut out their hosts.
It hasn’t been the ideal title defence for Malmo, who are now ten points off the summit, but they should still prove too strong for lowly Norrkoping. That being said, both teams to score has been a winning bet in five of the visitors’ last seven, and they can net in defeat at Malmo.
Molde are the best bet to win at Fredrikstad on Saturday. The hosts have not tasted victory in front of their own fans in the Eliteserien for three games and Molde can take advantage.
Derry City head into this clash full of confidence after a commanding 7-0 win over Waterford, and their strong record when scoring first underlines their ability to take control of matches. They’re chasing a fifth straight league win and face a Sligo side that has struggled both defensively and offensively. Derry’s superior form and position make them the clear pick here.
Both of these teams have been eliminated ahead of the final batch of group games but Denmark have at least been competitive. The Danes can sign off on a high, but Poland can at least grab their first goal of the tournament in defeat as Denmark have only kept one clean sheet in their last eight games and the Poles had scored in 11 straight games prior to Euro 2025.
Experts' Accumulator Tip
Dundee have not conceded a goal in their two pre-season friendlies and Pressley will be demanding a strong start to the new campaign, against a team they beat 4-0 in last season’s Scottish Cup.
Sweden are unbeaten in 14 matches, scoring in 15 of their last 17 fixtures. Germany have not lost in their previous eight and both sides have scored four goals in their opening two games. Neither side will want to finish second in the group, so expect both teams to play on the front foot as they try to maintain their current form in front of goal.
Philadelphia Union have fallen to successive 1-0 defeat against Columbus Crew and Nashville, which has knocked them off the top of Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference, but their home form is so strong that they should get back to winning way against New York Red Bulls.
The Rapids come into the game after a comprehensive midweek 3-0 defeat at LAFC and Vancouver have had a few extra days to prepare for this game. The Whitecaps won 2-0 in a reverse fixture earlier this season and can see off a Colorado outfit who have five defeats in their last seven.
PSG’s 4-0 thrashing of Real Madrid was their tenth win in their last 11 games, and the last seven of these victories have been accompanied by a clean sheet. This includes wins to nil against Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, so Chelsea have their work cut out if they are to trouble this impervious Parisien defence.
France landed the result of the group stage so far when beating defending champions England 2-1 in their opener and despite a spate of changes ahead of their next game, they followed up with a 4-1 rout of Wales. The Netherlands are unlikely to be quite as bad going forwards against France, a side who have failed to keep a clean sheet at Euro 2025, and should have enough to net in defeat.
Scandinavian Treble Tip
Elfsborg are the best bet to win away at IFK Gothenburg on Saturday and can get the three points at Gamla Ullevi. IFK Gothenburg have shown signs of vulnerability at the back, conceding in seven of their last nine home games in the league.
Both Teams To Score Accumulator Tip
Brora were full of goals in the Highland League last season and while they are up against Scottish Premiership opposition, both teams to score looks the way to go in this clash.
Dundee posted two comprehensive cup victories over Airdrieonians last season, but the Championship side’s defence looked stronger towards the end of the campaign so this one may be more competitive.
Both teams have scored in each of Jaro’s last seven games and that pattern could continue against FC Inter, who have seen both teams score in three of their last five home assignments.
Sweden have scored in 15 of their last 17 games and Germany have scored in 13 consecutive fixtures. Neither side needs a result in this game and both managers could rotate, which in turn should lead to a fairly open game.
Both Teams To Score & Win Treble Tip
Championship Arbroath face a real task in their League Cup opener, as they take on a St Mirren side who ended last season with a six-match unbeaten streak. They did manage just two clean sheets in their final 11 matches of last term, though, and the hosts can give their fans something to cheer.
Premiership side Motherwell should have far too much quality for their League Two hosts Clyde in this League Cup fixture, although their opponents ended last season by netting ten goals across their final two matches and may have enough to net in defeat.
It hasn’t been the ideal title defence for Malmo, who are now ten points off the summit, but they should still prove too strong for lowly Norrkoping. That being said, both teams to score has been a winning bet in five of the visitors’ last seven, and they can net in defeat at Malmo.
Scottish League Cup Accumulator Tip
Championship Arbroath face a real task in their League Cup opener, as they take on a St Mirren side who ended last season with a six-match unbeaten streak. The Buddies should be able to claim a win here.
Peterhead won the League Two title last season thanks largely to their impressive home form, winning nine of their last 11 home games and drawing the other two. They can pull off a minor upset against Championship side Morton, who were inconsistent travellers last season.
Goals Galore Best Bet Tip
Falkirk should be champing at the bit with a Premiership season just around the corner and they can run out winners in a game that should generate plenty of goals.
Bet Of The Day Tip
It hasn’t been the ideal title defence for Malmo, who are now ten points off the summit, but they should still prove too strong for lowly Norrkoping. That being said, both teams to score has been a winning bet in five of the visitors’ last seven, and they can net in defeat at Malmo.
Evening Accumulator Tip
Both of these teams have been eliminated ahead of the final batch of group games but Denmark have at least been competitive. The Danes can sign off on a high against Poland, who have conceded five goals and are yet to score after two rounds of fixtures. Denmark have only kept one clean sheet in their last eight games and the Poles had scored in 11 straight games prior to Euro 2025 so Poland can at least strike in defeat.
Sweden have scored in 15 of their last 17 games and Germany have scored in 13 consecutive fixtures. Neither side needs a result in this game and both managers could rotate, which in turn should lead to a fairly open game.
Flamengo are back in action after their CWC bid and they can pick up where thety left off with a dominant home win. Flamengo are unbeaten at home in Serie A (W4 D2) and have been in free scoring form – netting 17 goals across their six games and conceding just once. Back them to cover a -1 handicap against Sao Paulo.
This is a clash between two struggling teams who are level on 11 points after 12 games. Both of Internacional’s wins have been in home games, and they can claim their third victory of the season against a Vitoria side who are yet to claim a win on their travels.
Euro 2025 Double Tip
Both of these teams have been eliminated ahead of the final batch of group games but Denmark have at least been competitive. The Danes can sign off on a high against Poland, who have conceded five goals and are yet to score after two rounds of fixtures.
Sweden have scored in 15 of their last 17 games and Germany have scored in 13 consecutive fixtures. Neither side needs a result in this game and both managers could rotate, which in turn should lead to a fairly open game.
Euro 2025 Correct Score Double Tip
Both of these teams have been eliminated ahead of the final batch of group games but Denmark have at least been competitive. The Danes can sign off on a high against Poland, who have conceded five goals and are yet to score after two rounds of fixtures. A result might be beyond Poland but they can at least grab a first goal of the tournament. Denmark have only kept one clean sheet in their last eight games and the Poles had scored in 11 straight games prior to Euro 2025, so take a chance on a 2-1 win for Denmark.
Sweden have scored in 15 of their last 17 games and Germany have scored in 13 consecutive fixtures. The spoils could be shared in a game where neither team needs to take any major risks. Sweden are unbeaten in 14 games and Germany haven’t lost in their last eight, so a 1-1 draw has a chance here.
MLS Mega Accumulator Tip
Cincy are on a four-game winning streak overall and they have lost just one of their eight MLS games at this venue, winning five. The Crew are winless in five on the road and may fall short against the Eastern Conference leaders.
Meetings between these two tend to have plenty of goals with both teams contributing so we could be in for a high-scoring game.
Both teams have had their defensive struggles of late. Austin FC have failed to keep a clean sheet in nine of their last 11 MLS games, while New England Revolution have been unable to keep their opponents at bay in five straight matches.
LAFC have the best home record in the West and they should be able to win with some room to spare against FC Dallas, who have lost their last three games and have conceded nine goals during that period.
MLS Accumulator Tip
Cincy are on a four-game winning streak overall and they have lost just one of their eight MLS games at this venue, winning five. The Crew are winless in five on the road and may fall short against the Eastern Conference leaders.
Union have six wins and just one defeat after 10 home MLS games. The Red Bulls are among the worst travellers in the competition with just seven points to show from 11 games so a home win looks a strong play here.
Vancouver won 2-0 when these sides met in a reverse fixture back in April and on the balance of play they could have won by a far bigger margin. If they can produce a similar level of performance here they should be able to claim maximum points at Colorado Rapids.
LAFC have the best home record in the West and they should be able to win with some room to spare against FC Dallas, who have lost their last three games and have conceded nine goals during that period.
MLS Bet To Net Double Tip
Lionel Messi is on an incredible scoring run in MLS with Inter Miami. The Argentine star has nine goals in his last five games in this competition, back him to continue his hot streak when Nashville visit Fort Lauderdale.
Denis Bouanga is LAFC’s leading scorer with nine goals in MLS and he has seven in his last 11 games across all competitions. Bouanga scored from the spot and provided an assist against Colorado, and he looks the standout candidate for an anytime goal in this fixture.
MLS Correct Score Double Tip
Vancouver won 2-0 when these sides met in a reverse fixture back in April and on the balance of play they could have won by a far bigger margin. If they can produce a similar level of performance here they should be able to claim maximum points at Colorado Rapids. The Rapids have failed to score in three of their last six games and Vancouver’s last two MLS wins have been accompanied by clean sheets so a repeat of April’s 2-0 win for the Whitecaps is the correct score play.
LAFC have the best home record in the West and they should be able to win with some room to spare against FC Dallas, who have lost their last three games and have conceded nine goals during that period. LAFC have been keeping clean sheets at home with three in their last five MLS games at this venue. With the Dallas defence looking suspect, a 3-0 win for the hosts appeals.
MLS Best Bet Tip
Vancouver won 2-0 when these sides met in a reverse fixture back in April and on the balance of play they could have won by a far bigger margin. If they can produce a similar level of performance here they should be able to claim maximum points at Colorado Rapids.
Premier League Opening Weekend Mega Accumulator Tip
Liverpool won by at least two goals in nine of their 14 home victories last season, while they comfortably saw off Bournemouth home and away. The Cherries lost 3-0 at Anfield and 2-0 at home to the Reds, despite enjoying a successful campaign.Bournemouth have already sold Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid, while Liverpool are pursuing their left-back Milos Kerkez. The Reds will have plenty of time to bed in their new signings, while Andoni Iraola’s side will likely start this campaign weakened at the back. Back the champions to lay down a marker in their opener.
Despite little expectation, there was plenty of promise in Fabian Hurzeler’s first season at the Amex and it would be no surprise to see a young Brighton side take another forward step next term. The Seagulls saw out the campaign by drawing with Newcastle and beating West Ham, Wolves, Liverpool and Tottenham in their final five matches and they have already added Sunderland’s playoff hero Tommy Watson and Italy Under-21 centre-back Diego Coppola to a strong squad.Fulham, meanwhile, lost five of their last seven matches of the season, only beating Southampton and Brentford, and are yet to bring in any new faces, suggesting an opening-day defeat may be on the cards for the Cottagers.
Brentford have a busy summer ahead as they plan for a future after Thomas Frank but they should be ready for the opening weekend of the season and can start with a win against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. The Bees might be without Bryan Mbeumo, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, but they are usually a step ahead when it comes to player recruitment and are likely to assemble a strong squad over the next few weeks.Forest will be in for a tough game and they might struggle to shrug off the disappointment of missing out on Champions League qualification. The Tricky Trees have taken one point from their last four home games and they could be stung by the Bees.
Only champions Liverpool are a shorter price than Tottenham to win their opening Premier League fixture and I think I would look to oppose Spurs.Of course, a home tie against Burnley appears a fairly kind fixture, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Clarets, who conceded only 16 goals in 46 Championship matches last term, were difficult to break down. The decision to replace Ange Postecoglou with Thomas Frank wasn’t met with unanimous euphoria in north London and it could take a while for Spurs to find their stride.
Pep Guardiola must adapt his usual pre-season plans due to Manchester City’s involvement in the Club World Cup and the Citizens could drop points in a tricky opening assignment at Wolves.City made hard work of May’s 1-0 home victory over Wolves, who hit the woodwork twice at the Etihad Stadium, and they needed a 95th-minute John Stones winner at Molineux in October.Wolves sold forward Matheus Cunha to Manchester United and left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri to City but their recruitment has been good in recent years and they won ten of their 22 league matches after Vitor Pereira’s arrival in December.
Leeds were the highest-scoring side in last season’s Championship, but they may find the going tougher in the top flight, and they could kick off their season with a low-scoring affair at Elland Road.Ten of Everton’s final 12 games of 2024/25 featured fewer than three goals, and their away games throughout last season averaged a Premier League low of 1.95 goals per game. A mere 26 per cent of them went over 2.5 goals, and no team outside the top four conceded fewer goals than the Toffees.
Month In Sport Accumulator Tip
Montse Tome’s side look to have a much easier group that contains Italy, Portugal and Belgium, especially as they put 19 goals past the latter two in four Nations League meetings this season. Spain have demonstrated they know how to bottle a winning formula and they look strong candidates to add to their trophy collection.
Tadej Pogacar has been nigh on unbeatable since winning a third yellow jersey, claiming the world championship title and three Monuments, and he looks capable of landing this year’s Tour de France.
Lando Norris is yet to win around Silverstone, but the 25-year-old has outperformed team-mate Oscar Piastri in each of their two British Grands Prix at McLaren, finishing third here last year and second the year before, both times over 12 seconds ahead of the Australian.
Ryan Fox looks an excellent each-way bet at generous odds. Fox has claimed PGA Tour titles at the Myrtle Beach Classic and the Canadian Open since the start of May. He is a proven links specialist, winning the Dunhill Links in 2022 – where three of the four rounds are played on Open venues – and he was 16th at Portrush in 2019.
Oleksandr Usyk already has one KO win over Daniel Dubois on his CV and he can remove any controversy over that result with another stoppage in the rematch. The Ukrainian is too slick to get caught by Dubois and has the power and accuracy to win without needing the scorecards.
