Influenced by the country’s heat, Spanish football is known for its technical style of play, where passing and possession are all-important. Teams will keep the ball on the floor, avoiding long balls and crosses. Players tend to be smaller and lighter than in other leagues, while tactics, particularly in attack, are highly advanced.
Since the league’s creation in 1930, Real Madrid have won the most La Liga titles with 33. They are closely followed by Barcelona on 26 wins, while Atletico Madrid have won 10.
