The BMW PGA Championship takes centre stage this weekend and we’ve got two each-way tips ahead of the tournament at Wentworth.
Racing Post golf tipster Steve Palmer usually provides us with a winners double, but with the action limited this week he’s kept his focus on the one tournament and has picked out his best each-way options from a strong field.
BMW PGA Championship Each-Way Tips
This week all eyes are focused on the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. The prestigious DP World Tour event has attracted a star-studded field, with no PGA Tour or LIV Golf action taking place, and the top of the market is strong.
Matt Fitzpatrick and Shane Lowry can both be backed at double-figure odds and appeal most of the big names, but outsiders Marcus Kinhult and Sean Crocker at 140/1 and 150/1 respectively look good outside contenders as each-way options.
Kinhult was a superstar amateur who made waves in European Tour events when he was in his teens. The Swede was expected to develop into a prolific champion, but for various reasons it has yet to happen.
His most recent issue was some problems with epilepsy last year, which meant he had to take some time away from golf.
This year, though, Kinhult’s fitness and form has returned, and he tees off at a course he loves this week, having finished 12th on debut in 2018 and tenth in 2020. The 26-year-old has twice finished third on the DP World Tour this year.
Crocker enjoyed a breakthrough victory in the Hero Open at the end of July. Wentworth lends itself to strong ball-strikers like the American and he finished ninth in last year’s BMW PGA, only four shots behind the winner.
