It’s the final weekend in the Championship, which means 12 simultaneous clashes on Sunday afternoon. All of the matches get underway at 12:30pm, with plenty on the line across the country. We’ve already taken a look at what you should be watching out for on the final day, with plenty still to be decided. However, here we’re looking more at the key matches, along with the latest specials.

Here are four of the biggest games this weekend, which each have something riding on them. With 12 games kicking off at once, we think it’s the perfect time for a Championship accumulator. Below you’ll see our picks for a fourfold which can be found at 11/1 with bet365. On top of that, we have the latest statistics, form and a few well-priced betting specials.

Aston Villa vs Norwich

Wigan vs Norwich - Championship

We’re starting at Villa Park, where Norwich are aiming to wrap up the league title. The Canaries need a point here but don’t expect them to park the bus. They’ve seen both teams score in 73% of their away trips this term, so we don’t suspect that they are going to show up with a rock-solid defence this weekend.

On top of that, Villa are the form side in the league right now. The hosts have scored in 95% of their matches at home this term, while they’ve seen at least three goals in 73% of their matches at Villa Park. Given that the last three clashes between these two have produced 13 goals, we think it’s worth backing over 2.5 goals in this one.

Stoke vs Sheffield United

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder

Should Norwich slip up at Villa Park, then Sheffield United can sweep in and secure the league title. They are three points shy of Norwich, so this is a must-win clash for the Blades. We expect them to be focused again a week after gaining promotion, especially with the title on the line in this trip to the bet365.

When you look at the two, their positions are reversed. Stoke are the side rotating and preparing for next term, while promoted Sheffield United are very much in the moment. The Blades come here having won their last three games to nil, while they have a near perfect record at lower half sides. They’ve won 19 of 25 clashes with teams from 12th and below. That’s helped Chris Wilder to claim 196 victories in the EFL since 2010, 27 more than any other boss in that time. Given their form, we see one last win for the Premier League new boys.

Derby vs West Brom

Derby Wolves

The biggest clash of the weekend sees Derby aiming to secure the final playoff spot. The Rams needs three-points to take up their place in the top six, with the hosts winning three home games on the bounce going into this one. They’ll be expecting a much-changed West Brom outfit for this clash, while the hosts will be out to build on 12 wins in 22 league games at Pride Park this term.

Meanwhile, West Brom are winless in their last three trips – including losses at Millwall and Bristol City. The Rams have won their last three home games by an aggregate of 12-1, while they won 4-1 at West Brom earlier this season. With West Brom without a final day win since 2008, we are siding with the Rams to take the points this weekend.

Sheffield Wednesday vs QPR

FA Cup - Sheffield Wednesday vs Luton

In terms of form, this clash is an utter mismatch to finish up the season. The hosts come into it flying high following Steve Bruce’s arrival in February. His assistants put in groundwork through January to improve the defence, with the Owls losing just twice in the last three months since Bruce arrived at the club.

Meanwhile, QPR have one of the worst records in 2019, having lost 14 times in the New Year. Those losses have come in their last 19 Championship games, while they’ve lost 12 in 22 on the road this term. It’s been an awful year for the Rs, who have lost their final game of the season in 11 of the last 14 campaigns. Given that Wednesday are coming off the back of five wins in seven at home, we’re siding with the hosts.

Championship Accumulator

Together, these four picks make up an 11/1 accumulator with bet365. We see three sides following up their recent good form to claim a result, while we can expect plenty of goals at Villa Park. This fourfold seems like a great value bet across Sunday afternoon’s action, while it’s the perfect way to keep the final day interesting.

Championship Betting Specials

If you’re looking for something different across the final day, then BetVictor have a list of specials to take a look at. They range from a short option – Brentford, Middlesbrough, Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday to score first at 4/1 – all the way up to a 750/1 longshot. There are a couple of really interesting bets in the middle, with over 0.5 corners in the first 10 minutes of each match priced at 150/1. That bet covers 11 Championship matches excluding the meeting between Nottingham Forest and Bolton, where the Trotters are expected to lose yet again.
