Inter Milan are huge underdogs but they do have ways of hurting Manchester City. They have three quality strikers who can cause problems with the right service. While City’s midfield press will likely target Inter’s creative midfielders, the Nerazzurri do possess an unusual threat.

Alessandro Bastoni’s ability to step up from the left of a back three is something which could trouble City. The centre-half has three Champions League assists this season, while he averages over a cross per game in Europe from central defence. In addition he’s also played 12 passes into the box across his last seven games in Europe, so he’s a great outside bet for an assist.

Tip – Alessandro Bastoni to provide an assist

The only way I can really envisage Inter denying City an historic treble is by resorting to the dark arts and a bit of gamesmanship as the Premier League champions are simply stronger in all areas.

With that in mind, the 10/11 on offer for over 2.5 cards for the Nerazzurri is of interest. The Italian side have been fairly well behaved in Europe this term – averaging 1.8 cards-per-game – but the occasional tactical foul will almost certainly be required to disrupt City’s rhythm and that could well lead to a few cards being dished out.

Tip – Inter Milan over 2.5 team cards

Only the disruptor Rodri has committed more fouls than Bernardo Silva for Manchester City this season and the feisty Portugal international has been even more involved since Pep Guardiola switched to his revolutionary 3-2-4-1 formation.

Operating on the right side of the attack but assigned plenty of defensive work, Silva has committed at least two fouls in five of his last six starts, totalling 15 fouls in this period and will be up against Inter’s adventurous wing-back Federico Dimarco, who was fouled three times in the second-leg of their Champions League semi-final.

Tip – Bernardo Silva to commit 2+ fouls

Kevin De Bruyne has a knack of turning up in the big games for Manchester City and could land on the scoresheet in the biggest match of all.

The Belgian’s last four goals have come against Arsenal, Real Madrid and Liverpool, showing his habit of having a big impact in the biggest games.

The Citizens’ playmaker has ten goals in all competitions this season and could be overpriced to produce another piece of magic for his side in Istanbul.

Tip – Kevin De Bruyne to score anytime

It would be no surprise if Inter attempt to make this a stop-start contest and not allow Man City to get into full flow. This should bring the booking market into play and the 7/2 available on Lautaro Martinez to be carded is hard to ignore.

The Argentine forward has been booked a leading three times for Inter in the Champions League this season, while he also has a foul count of 13, and he could land another caution given the amount of defending he will likely have to do.

Tip – Lautaro Martinez to be shown a card

Manchester City are the clear favourites and it would be a big shock if Pep Guardiola’s side fail to secure the treble.

A value bet that appeals in the final is the Premier League and FA Cup winners to win and both teams to score.

City have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last three games and Manchester United did cause them problems at times at Wembley.

Inter are in superb form going into the Istanbul showpiece, winning 11 of their last 12 games while scoring 29 goals, so will be confident of at least getting on the scoresheet.

Tip – Manchester City to win and BTTS*
