A weekend of Premier League action gets underway at lunchtime on Saturday as one of the pre-season favourites for relegation Burnley head to a Liverpool side rejuvenated by the return of Virgil van Dijk.

Can the Clarets pull off a huge upset in front of a bouncing Anfield crowd or will it be business as usual for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds?

Our huge 92/1 bet builder suggests the latter, so let’s take a look!

Liverpool -1 handicap

Liverpool looked back to their best in their 3-0 win over Norwich last weekend and that result means they have now won five of their last six Premier League games by more than a single goal margin.

Burnley have lost eight of their last ten in the league following their defeat to Brighton last time out and four of their last six meetings with Liverpool have seen the Clarets lose by at least two goals.

Roberto Firmino to score anytime

Roberto Firmino was maligned for his lack of goals last season but the Brazilian forward got his campaign off to a flyer with a second-half goal at Carrow Road last weekend.

He scored twice in a friendly against Osasuna earlier this month and ended last season with three goals in his final four appearances. He can build on his excellent start.

Mohamed Salah to assist anytime

Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah provided two assists and scored a goal against Norwich and he played a part in five shot-creating actions.

The Egyptian is more known for his goals but he has now provided four assists in his last six Premier League appearances and has been involved in a massive 31 shot-creating actions.

Chris Wood to have two or more shots

Chris Wood is Burnley’s main man up front and the New Zealand international attempted three shots against Brighton last weekend.

Unsurprisingly he led the way in shots for Burnley last season, having 67 pops at goal for an average of 2.2 shots per 90 minutes. Wood has had at least two shots in ten of his last 13 Premier League appearances and has only failed to have a single attempt in one of those.

James Tarkowski to be booked

Burnley centre back James Tarkowski may have opened the scoring at Turf Moor last weekend but it didn’t take long for him to add his first booking of the season to list his of achievements against Brighton.

The 28-year-old was booked six times in the Premier League last season and five of those came away from home. Three of those have come in his last six away days and on Saturday he faces a menacing Liverpool attack.
