Play Your Cards Right: 66/1 Booking treble for Man United vs Leeds

Manchester United and Leeds is one of the fiercest rivalries in the Premier League and the pair meet twice this week, first at Old Trafford on Wednesday before they return to Elland Road on Sunday.

The Whites will be looking to reverse their poor recent record in this fixture, they have lost three of the four meetings between the pair since they returned to the top flight, by scorelines of 6-2, 5-1 and 4-2 respectively.

In fact, Leeds’ last win against their rivals was their famous 1-0 victory in the FA Cup, thanks to Jermaine Beckford’s winner.

With Jesse Marsch departing after his side’s 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the weekend, Leeds fans will be looking for their players to respond in this derby.

With the fierce nature of this rivalry, there were eight players carded in their last meeting, we have picked out three players who could be in line for a booking in this clash.

Tyler Adams

With Casemiro missing for both of Leeds’ games with Manchester United after being sent off against Crystal Palace, the battle in central midfield looks more promising for the Whites than it previously had.

Tyler Adams will be key to that battle for the strugglers and he leads his side in tackles with 76. However that all-action approach can also come at a price and the American also leads the side in fouls this season.

Adams has picked up four yellow cards and one red this season and looks a likely candidate to fall foul of the referee in this match.

Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes has a habit of playing the pantomime villain for Manchester United and will receive plenty of attention from the referee as a result.

The Portuguese playmaker has been booked five times this season in the Premier League, the joint-most of any Red Devils player and he is also the most fouled player in the side, 22 times, which could lead to frustration and retaliation from the midfielder.

Luis Sinisterra

Luis Sinisterra has had a mixed first year in the Premier League, missing plenty of time through injury but impressing whenever he has been able to feature for Leeds.

Another trait the Columbian has shown is a propensity to be carded, the wide man has been booked three times and sent off once in just seven league starts for the Whites and could be another who gets caught up in the derby day atmosphere.
