Can Aberdeen keep astounding run going?

It’s three games played and three games won, all to nil, for Aberdeen so far this season, with Peterhead (2-0), Dumbarton (2-0) and Stirling (5-0) all brushed aside.

Jim Goodwin’s side, who narrowly avoided relegation from the SPL last season, have a ridiculous record in the Scottish League Cup, keeping nine successive home clean sheets since a 2-2 draw with St Mirren in October 2012.

They only need a draw to guarantee reaching the second round, but have more than enough in their locker to beat a Championship outfit who have won just two of the last ten meetings between the pair.

Will Raith go through?

Raith themselves have had a decent tournament and know that a win could see them topple Aberdeen, as they stand on six points from three matches.

New manager Ian Murray saw his team fail to score last time out though, a 0-0 draw with Dumbarton, while they lumbered to a 1-1 stalemate with Stirling just a few days earlier.

They have now in fact failed to score in three successive away League Cup games, while picking up just two wins in the last ten.
