      Tranmere Over 1.5 Team Goals

      Reason for tip

Tranmere have scored two or more goals in four successive away games and are unbeaten in three on their travels. Against an Accrington team that have lost five of their last six in all competitions, they are capable of scoring at least two goals.

      Tranmere 3-1

      Reason for tip

Tranmere scored three on their last trip to Accrington – April’s 3-3 draw – but with Stanley losing five of their last six in all competitions and Rovers unbeaten in three on their travels, they can match their tally of goals but this time also pick up all three points.

      Accrington Stanley vs Tranmere Predictions

      • Accrington have lost five of their last six matches across all competitions
      • Tranmere have scored two or more goals in four successive away games
      • Last season’s corresponding fixture finished 3-3

      Tranmere full of goals

These two sides are languishing in League Two’s bottom seven but visitors Tranmere are in better form, especially away from home, as they are unbeaten in three on their travels across all competitions.

Rovers have scored two or more goals in five of their seven away fixtures this season, including each of the last four, while no team outside the top seven have netted more times than Andy Crosby’s side, who have struck 21 in 13 games.

      Accrington struggling for form

Accrington have lost five of their last six across all competitions, the only exception being a surprise 4-0 home win over Swindon earlier this month.

That game is also the only time Stanley have kept a clean-sheet across their last seven matches and the result and shut out was at least in part down to Swindon having a player sent off in the first half.

Last season’s corresponding fixture between these sides finished in an entertaining 3-3 draw in April and another open game is expected, with Tranmere fancied to net at least a couple and perhaps pick up the points.
