Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in 14 of Fulham’s last 17 Premier League games, while Bournemouth are free flowing on their travels, netting 12 goals across their last five away fixtures. With both teams in form and believing they can win, this could make for a high-scoring contest.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

The last two meetings between these sides at Craven Cottage have featured exactly four goals, including the 2-2 draw in October 2022. With both sides playing well and being evenly matched – they are separated by just a solitary point in the standings – that scoreline could repeat itself on Sunday.

Rodrigo Muniz To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Fulham forward Rodrigo Muniz is rediscovering his form after netting in two of his last three appearances and, having grabbed a brace in this corresponding fixture last season, the Brazilian will fancy his chances of continuing that hot streak on Sunday.

Fulham vs AFC Bournemouth Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in 14 of Fulham’s last 17 matches in the Premier League
  • Bournemouth have scored in five away games in a row, netting 12 times during that run
  • Rodrigo Muniz has scored in two of his last three matches

In-form duo can serve up festive feast

Fulham and Bournemouth have emerged as surprise European hopefuls this season and both will head into Sunday’s clash at Craven Cottage in good form.

The Cottagers are unbeaten in six games and claimed a memorable comeback victory over Chelsea last time out, with goals from substitutes Harry Wilson and Rodrigo Muniz sealing a first win at Stamford Bridge since 1979.

Bournemouth have also gone six matches without defeat, claiming four wins during that time, including three successive away victories at Wolves, Ipswich and, most eye-catchingly, at Manchester United just before Christmas.

All that suggests both sides will fancy their chances of picking up all three points in west London and that could make for an open and high-scoring game.

Goals should flow at Craven Cottage

Goals are usually on the agenda when Fulham play this season, as both teams have scored in 14 of their last 17 Premier League matches and the only time Marco Silva’s side have failed to net during that run was the recent goalless draw with Southampton – a match that saw the Cottagers dominate the shot count.

Bournemouth were also recently involved in a goalless draw – at home to Crystal Palace on Boxing Day – but like for Fulham, that result was something of an outlier.

The Cherries have been particularly free flowing on their travels of late, netting in five away matches on the spin – a total of 12 goals – but they have only kept one clean-sheet in nine top-flight road fixtures this term.

These two sides usually serve up entertainment when they meet, with three of the last four encounters featuring at least three goals with both sides contributing to the scoring, including a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage in October 2022.

With both teams in form and separated by just a solitary point in the standings, a 2-2 share could easily be played out on Sunday as well.

Muniz rediscovering his scoring touch

Over the second half of last season, Fulham forward Rodrigo Muniz fired home nine goals to finish as the team’s leading scorer, but he struggled to replicate that form over the opening months of the current campaign, scoring just once in his first 14 appearances.

However, the Brazilian appears to now be returning to form having netted two in his last three and these were not just any goals, as they came at Anfield in the 2-2 draw with leaders Liverpool and at Chelsea on Boxing Day when he scored a stoppage-time winner.

Muniz came off the bench to grab that goal at Stamford Bridge, but he should have done enough to earn a starting spot on Sunday, especially as he netted a brace in last season’s corresponding fixture with Bournemouth – a match Fulham won 3-1.
