Lions lack knack of winning on the road

Millwall must win their final game of the season to stand any chance of finishing in the top six, but Bournemouth rarely taste defeat at home and can stop the Lions in their tracks. Gary Rowett’s team have been superb at home of late, winning seven of their last nine at The Den, but have found away wins very hard to come by.

Four draws in their last five road trips are going to prove costly if Millwall fail to make the playoffs by a point or two – although they were only actually ahead in 15 minutes of those four stalemates. This could start out quite cagily but then burst into life after the first goal and we believe the value in match result betting lies in the draw. There’s nothing in the game for the Cherries – making their odds-on quote unappealing – while Millwall’s inability to win on the road of late almost rules them out of consideration too.

A 2-2 draw forecast might sound a touch fanciful, but last-day games have a habit of going a little bit crazy as teams’ focus is often not quite what it should be.
