      Draw

      Reason for tip

No team in La Liga has drawn more home games than Almeria, with three of their eight stalemates coming in their last four outings at Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos. They face a Villarreal side who have tied five La Liga matches since the turn of the year

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

Almeria, who drew 1-1 with Granada in February, have conceded or scored exactly once in three of their last nine outings. Villarreal had a 1-1 stalemate with Athletic Bilbao last time out, the third game in a row when they have netted exactly once.

      Almeria vs Villarreal Predictions

      • Almeria have drawn three of their last four home games
      • Villarreal are on a run of only three wins in ten on the road
      • No team has had more home La Liga stalemates than Almeria’s eight

Can Almeria get a much-needed win?

Almeria cannot mathematically be relegated just yet, but it is only a matter of time thanks to a miserable season that has seen them register merely one victory.

At home, they have been simply appalling, failing to win all campaign, with seven of their 15 La Liga clashes ended in defeat and a further eight drawn.

Three of those stalemates have been in their last four fixtures at Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos though, while they have lost just two of their last eight games at all venues, so perhaps they can pick up a point in this clash.

      Villarreal looking to bounce back

They will not get things all their own way against visitors Villarreal, who are attempting to bounce back from a two-game winless run, courtesy of a 2-1 loss to Atletico Madrid and 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao.

That was a ninth stalemate of the season for the Yellow Submarine, five of which have come in their 13 games since the turn of the year!

Marcelino García Toral’s side have also found winning a tough thing to do on the road, managing only three victories in their last ten away games.

I predict that this match will end as a draw, with 1-1 my correct score prediction.
