Austria vs Italy Predictions

• As the home side, Austria have scored in seven of their last eight outings.
• Italy have scored at least twice in three of their last four outings.
• Austria have conceded at least twice in three of their last four matches, keeping a clean sheet against Andorra.

Both sides will be disappointed

Austria will still be extremely disappointed with the fact they finished below Scotland and Israel in their qualifying group despite the fact they won five of their ten games and scored the third-most goals. They also conceded nearly two goals per match on average and not much has changed since then. In the Nations League, they have conceded at least two goals in four of their previous six such matches and they’ll now be facing off against a dangerous Italy side.

The reigning European champions will remarkably not be involved in the World Cup and they’ll be keen to put on a show here. They’re accustomed to creating plenty of chances and with Austria looking shaky at the back, the Azzurri will be confident of creating enough goal scoring opportunities to hit the back of the net more than once.
