Barcelona to Win and Over 3.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Barcelona are 4-0 down from the first leg and need a comeback of massive proportions. They will give it a go in the knowledge that Atletico Madrid have conceded nine goals in their last five games and should win with at least four goals in the game.

Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid Predictions

  • Barcelona are 4-0 down from the first leg and need a remontada
  • Atletico Madrid have conceded nine goals in their last five games
  • Lamine Yamal has scored eight goals in his last nine Barcelona games, including a hat-trick last weekend

Yamal leads Barca in improbable comeback job

Barcelona will attempt an improbable comeback when they host Atletico Madrid in Tuesday’s Copa del Rey semi‑final second leg at the Camp Nou, needing to overturn a 4‑0 deficit from the first meeting.

Hansi Flick’s side need a remontada of Paris Saint-Germain proportions and will look to their new star Lamine Yamal to provide the inspiration. The Spanish winger scored a sublime hat-trick in their 4-1 home demolition of Villarreal at the weekend before being withdrawn to save up some goals for Tuesday.

But this is still a tall ask even for Barca. The Blaugrana have won all nine matches played at their restored home ground and remain one of Spain’s most potent attacking sides, averaging 2.7 goals per game in LaLiga.

Atleti will have to defend much better

Eight of their nine Camp Nou fixtures have surpassed the 2.5‑goal mark and another high‑scoring display is expected.  Atletico, meanwhile, arrive knowing they can afford to lose by up to three goals and still progress, a position that allows Diego Simeone’s side to manage the game with caution.

Barcelona’s 3‑1 league win over Atleti earlier in the season shows they can trouble the visitors, but even a repeat of that scoreline would see the Madrid club advance. Atletico’s recent away form — three wins, a draw and a defeat in their last five — suggests they are unlikely to collapse, though their nine goals conceded across those matches offer Barcelona a glimmer of hope.

Still, the aggregate score gives Atleti a commanding advantage, and Barcelona’s task borders on the impossible despite their strong home record. Given Barcelona’s attacking urgency and Camp Nou scoring trends, backing Barcelona to win and over 3.5 goals appears the most logical angle.
