      Swansea City to Win

      Reason for tip

Swansea received a massive boost with their EFL Cup win over Nottingham Forest and have enough to claim a win at Birmingham, who are finding life anything but straightforward in the Championship.

      Swansea City 2-1

      Reason for tip

Swansea can come out on top of this clash but they have scored more than twice in just one of their last ten Championship games and kept a clean sheet in two of their last seven on the road, so go for a 2-1 Swans win.

      Birmingham vs Swansea City Predictions

      • Both teams have scored in five of the last six meetings
      • Swansea are unbeaten in their last seven outings
      • Birmingham have lost their last three games

Swans flying high after Forest success

The Swansea.com Stadium was rocking on Wednesday when two injury-time goals gave the home team a 3-2 EFL Cup win over Nottingham Forest and the Swans can take that good feeling into their Championship game at Birmingham City on Saturday.

The Welsh outfit have lost just two games since March 15, which included a 1-0 reverse at Championship pacesetters Middlesbrough on the opening weekend of the campaign, and a 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in their last league away game should encourage them that they can take three points from their trip to St Andrew’s.

Blues still finding feet at higher level

The Blues stormed to the League One title last season but have not found a return to the second tier completely plain sailing.

Having drawn with relegated Ipswich and beaten an Oxford team who are expected to struggle this season in their two home matches, they need to pick themselves up from an EFL Cup exit to League One Port Vale and  losses at Leicester and Stoke, where they failed to score.

Birmingham should be expected to find their shooting boots and at least trouble the scoreboard, but the Swans have the edge here and can come out on top by a 2-1 scoreline.
