      Wolverhampton to Win

      Reason for tip

Wolves have put together an impressive run of performances, which has seen the Old Gold win four of their last five Championship matches and Cesar Peixoto’s men look a nice price to win at Wrexham.

      Wolverhampton 1-0

      Reason for tip

Wolves have conceded only three goals in their last five league matches, and while Wrexham have to be respected following their 2-0 midweek win over Middlesbrough, a low-scoring away win is fancied in Wales. Playing a 1-0 Wolves success on the correct score market could land.

      Wrexham vs Wolverhampton Predictions

      • Wolves have won four of their last five matches
      • Wolves have lost only three of 14 Championship games
      • Wrexham have won only three of their last ten league matches

Wolves hunting three points in Wales

It was not an electrifying start to life in the Championship for Wolves, who won only four of their opening nine second-tier contests.

However, the Old Gold have hit form to win four of their last five league matches and Cesar Peixoto’s men rate as serious promotion contenders.

Wolves have beaten Burnley, Watford, Cardiff and Bristol City on their impressive run of form and the Black Country side have lost only three second-tier games all season.

Peixoto’s men were comfortably the better side when winning the shot count 17-5 and recording expected goal numbers of 2.35 to Bristol City’s 0.99 on Wednesday and Wolves were well deserving of Sean Neave’s two late goals which sealed a 2-1 success.

There was a large turnover of players at Wolves in the summer, but the Old Gold now look more settled and there could still be better to come from the Championship title challengers.

Wrexham have taken 17 points from their 14 second-tier games this term and that is a pretty accurate reflection of where the Welsh side are at the moment.

The Reds picked up a confidence-boosting 2-0 win over Middlesbrough in midweek, but they have won only three of their last ten league games and there are no guarantees of a repeat.

Wolves look a nice price in this spot.
