      BK Hacken vs Orebro Predictions

Two sides in very different positions in the Allsvenskan meet on Sunday, with the hosts chasing a place in Europe. They’re currently fifth with ambitions of climbing, but this clash brings them up against a side who need points for different reasons. Struggling Orebro are a team who need to be picking up results, but they have been struggling all season. Will they continue their poor campaign with another loss in this trip, or could they defy the odds and produce something special in this meeting with Hacken?

The hosts have just taken a hit in their bid for Europe, following their loss at Norrkoping last time out. They’ll be happy to return home this weekend, given that they’ve claimed 62% of their points so far at home. They’ve relied on their home form to found the basis of their European push, while they’ll be expecting to add to that when they go up against an Orebro side who look really poor.

The visitors are just above the drop zone, having lost over half of their league games so far. They’ve struggled to get points on the board of late, losing three of their last four in the league. That’s left them narrowly clear of the drop, while they are hoping to pull off a surprise result in this trip to stay away from the bottom three. While Orebro have been producing the away wins of late, we don’t think they’ll topple a side who have one of the best home records in the Allsvenskan.

The hosts have won four of their last five matches at home, keeping a clean sheet in each of those victories. They’ve been churning out points, only slipping up to city rivals Goteborg. They’ve got some momentum behind them, while they’ve managed to claim three wins and two draws in six meetings with Orebro. With the visitors struggling near the bottom of the table, Hacken should add to that.

Hacken have been picking up their results against the teams in the league’s lower reaches. Not only have they won five of seven home games, but they’ve also claimed all five wins against teams who are below them in the table. Meanwhile, Orebro have lost five of seven clashes with the top eight. This could be a sixth defeat, while we see great value in backing Hacken to secure the points. Given that the hosts have conceded in just one of their home wins, we’re backing Hacken to win to nil.
