Value lies with the hosts

Blackpool are out of form, but there might be a bit of value in the home win when they host Barnsley at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.
Barnsley are third in the table, having won five and lost one of their seven games, while Blackpool are 23rd with just one win so far.

Blackpool lost 1-0 to Northampton last weekend in their last League One outing. They were priced at 13/8 to win the game, but suffered a defeat.

Barnsley are in excellent form, having won six of their last eight League One games, including their last two. In contrast, Blackpool have lost five of their last seven and have not tasted victory in four straight matches.

However, the Blackpool attack looks potent at home. They have scored an average of two goals a game in their three League One matches against top-half teams this season.

The visitors have been struggling defensively in recent games, with Barnsley failing to keep a clean sheet in 20 of their last 21 League One matches. They have now gone three games without recording a shutout.

With under 2.5 goals in Blackpool’s last four League One games, a 2-0 home win looks a decent correct-score option.
