Record-chasing Blues won’t ease up

Birmingham are 16 points clear at the top of League One going into their game in hand on Wednesday, with the season wrapping up this weekend. Normally, that would mean the Blues could ease off with Championship football confirmed.

However, the visitors have 105 points to their name, one shy of the EFL record of 106. They could smash that record, potentially hitting 111 if they win their final two games.

The Blues have won seven of their last eight, including three 2-1 victories across their last four trips. They head to a Blackpool side who have scored in 10 straight games, with over 2.5 goals landing in eight of those matches.

The Blues should go all-out for a record-breaking win, while Blackpool are backed to continue their good form in front of goal. Over 2.5 goals is my first prediction here, while a 2-1 win for Birmingham is my correct score pick.
