Europe chasing Mainz can raid Bochum

Mainz can maintain their push for European qualification by beating Bochum on Saturday. The hosts are struggling to find the back of the net this season, and Mainz can take advantage.

They are seventh in the Bundesliga, 11 places and 26 points above rock-bottom Bochum. The visitors have won 13, drawn nine and lost ten of their 32 games this season, while Bochum have just five wins so far.

Bochum have been disappointing in front of goal at home this season, scoring just 15 goals in 16 games in the Bundesliga – an average of 0.94 goals per game and explains why they could be relegated on Saturday if results go against them.
